About Me

Hi, I’m Amy.

I’m an artist, animator and content creator who is passionate about making educational content fun and engaging for all children - especially those amongst the neurodivergent community.

Welcome to my online Portfolio.

Here, you will see some of the projects I have created from concept through to completion, for myself and previous employers.

Some of these projects are still in development/waiting to be released. Where possible, I have included some details of these projects and artwork to show my experience.

I’m very creative and passionate about animation, education and neurodiversity.

I began my career as a Flash Animator/Artist at EducationCity (a small start-up business at the time). Within two years, I was the Lead Animator on our (soon to be) award-winning phonics scheme. Shortly after we won the award, I expressed an interest in writing and directing my own content.

I love writing engaging scripts, stories and songs that entertain and educate.

And bringing these to life with my drawings and animation.

I was given the opportunity to create my very first educational activity from scratch, and it was so engaging that I was promoted to the brand new role of Creative Producer. Within this role, I created countless themed games, stories and songs. I worked with a team of artists/animators, developers, musicians, singers, voiceover artists, educational consultants and producers to bring my visions to life. I also cast voiceover actors to help bring our characters to life (they had never spoken before).

I was constantly pushing boundaries, problem solving and improving our content/games. I was seen as a pioneer and told that I inspired my colleagues - everyone loved working on my projects and learning from the new methods I was exploring.

I always wanted to be a TV Animator

My dream was always to work as an Animator and Designer on Children’s TV and Films, so I left the world of eLearning and started working within the TV industry. Still very passionate about children’s education, especially with neurodiversity in mind, I began making my own productions.

Passion Projects

Aye, Aye, Captain!® is my first original programme - a series of six educational, animated videos designed to help dyslexic and struggling readers make sense of tricky spelling patterns.

(each approximately 10 mins long)

Fantasy

I have an active imagination, and I like to challenge myself, so I decided to write a teen fantasy novel based on characters I designed.

I wrote and self-published my first novel, Evanbridge Awakening. I would love to one day bring this to the screen.
